Laboratory of Organic Synthesis and Transition Metal Catalysis
Chegondi Research Group
Research Interests
Our research program is focuses on the development of new synthetic strategies with broad application in the organic synthesis. In particular, the design of new enantio- & diastereoselective desymmetrization methods for the prochiral-1,3-diones, cyclohexa-2,5-dienones and other C2-symmtric substrates to access complex molecules with multiple stereogenic centers in single operation and which has broad range of application in total synthesis. Our current research interests are: (1) Development of enantio & diastereoselective desymmetrization methods; (2) Transition-metal catalyzed decorboxylative cross-couplings; (3) Total synthesis of bio-active natural products; (4) Development of new technologies for key APIs
